Character Description

Dialogue

On Gray Gully

Approaching Them

  • Archie: "Ugh, how much porridge did ye have for breakfast?!"
  • Douglas: "Well I can't bloody reach it!"
  • Archie: " Are ye a Pearse or no?! Grab it for crying out loud!"
  • Douglas: "More Pearse than you! Ten minutes older, no less."
  • Archie: "Oh shut it and get a grip!"

Talking To Them

  • Archie: "Oh, good day to ye!"
  • Archie: "Come to think of it, lifting this big buffoon of a brother on no coffee isn't exactly my idea of a good day!"
  • Douglas: "Hah! Ye here to bag the Gully, lad?"
  • Douglas: "Well good luck on yer ascent. The routes here are full of bloody shrubbery and the stretches between holds are longer!"
  • Douglas: "Best be sure before you let go of a hold!"
  • Douglas: "Oh, and if you fall down, at least make sure you look good doing it!"

Summiting

  • Archie: "Oi! Well done up there!"

On The Twins

After Peak Cut-scene

  • Archie: "... Well, how about you try it then?"
  • Douglas: "Maybe I will, but I'll need a few more cuppas before I give that crux a go!"
  • Archie: "Ye didn't even bring any rope ye dunderheed!"
  • Douglas: "Well, I thought a nice brew was just as vital!"

Talking To Them

  • Archie: "Ah, good to see ye again, friend!"
  • Archie: "Ye know, this might not look intimidating, but ye see that ledge up there? That right there is the Crux."
  • Douglas: "Aye, other climbers call it "The Leap Of Faith". Hardest part of the route that is."
  • Douglas: "To get the next hold up there, ye'd best get a good wind-up on that jump!"
  • Douglas: "Truth be told, the only crux I can manage these days is getting up in the mornin'!"
  • Archie: "In the interest of self-preservation we'd like to see you do it."
  • Archie: "Say, why don't ye grab the rest of this coffee? It's a bit on the strong side, so should give ye energy for that jump!"
  • Archie: "Oh, and don't forget yer rope! Best be on the safe side, eh?"

Summiting

  • Archie: "Oi! Well done up there!"

On Old Langr

After Peak Cut-scene

  • Archie: "I swear! Ye think I'm making this up?!"

Talking To Them

  • Archie: "Ah, afternoon!"
  • Archie: "Out for another stamp are we? We're just on a wee break here."
  • Archie: "I was just telling me big-headed brother that I saw a bloody siren! Bad omens they are, I tell ye."
  • Douglas: "Bollocks I say. If anything, seeing a pretty lassie swimming out here is a good sign!"
  • Douglas: "In any case, nothing will match the beauty of the blue-dressed Queen of the crimps herself!"
  • Douglas: "If ye ever meet her, do give her my regards, lad!"
  • Archie: "Ye won't have any time for such gallivanting, brother. We've got a business to start!"
  • Archie: "Nothin' better than a strong coffee on yer climb, lad! We'll be starting our own coffee company soon as well."
  • Archie: "Best of luck on yer climbin' here, lad. The holds are a crumbly mess!"
  • Archie: "Better to be enjoying the fresh air and a strong coffee in my opinion!"

On Giant's Nose

After Peak Cut-scene

  • Archie: "... Ye know, I'd rather sit here and enjoy my perfectly blended coffee, thank you very much."
  • Douglas: "In that case, I'll be joining ye. Can't have ye drinking all of the coffee!"

Talking To Them

  • Archie: "Ah, afternoon to ye, lad!"
  • Archie: "So yer a boulderer now then, eh?"
  • Archie: "Truth be told, this bouldering category is nothin' but a brisk walk for us."
  • Douglas: "Aye. Though I suspect ol' Oscar woulden't be too happy with us drinkin' vast amounts of brew before makin' attempts!"
  • Douglas: "To be perfectly honest, he didn't mention any rules on drinkin' coffee."
  • Archie: "He's got a point, ye know!"
  • Archie: "Here lad, we've got a bit of coffee left, should be enough for five good sips. As usual it's a bit on the strong side. Oh, ye didn't get it from us!"
  • Archie: "Best o' luck on that boulder, lad!"

Summiting

  • Archie: "Oi! Well done up there!"
