These come with a far more cracked and pebbly looking texture. Once you grab hold of one of these, the hold will begin to crumble away beneath your fingertips. Quickly make it to another hold to avoid falling. Once a crumble hold is fully broken, it will never come back unless the map is restarted.

It's wise to be cautious of crumble holds with your best course of action being avoiding them completely. Plan your route as if any crumble holds aren't there, and only keep the crumble holds around as something you can grab onto quickly in the event of something going wrong.
